FSBO Marketing For Realtors - Marketing to Groups!

I sometimes call this article "No One Told Me The Rules! When you play a game, any game, you must know the rules. Whether it is baseball, soccer or twister, you have to know the rules before you can engage in the game. You must know the rules before you can play the game effectively. The marketing game is no exception to this basic truth. The problem lies in that it's not common knowledge for anyone to know the rules of the marketing game. So, let me give you some basics. Then you will no longer be able to say, no one told me the rules.

Rule #1 - Market To Groups

FSBO Marketing can actually have you marketing to 3 or 4 groups at the same time.

Here's a perfect example. When I was a kid, I worked on the pickle farm. My job as a boy was to stand next to what is called a sorter. When the pickles had been picked, the workers would bring the masses of pickles into the barn. That's were the sorter was. The pickles were dumped into the hopper and the sorting began. The pickles were sorted by size, some having more value than others. As the pickles dropped into the bin and the bin became full, I then had to quickly switch out the full bin for an empty one. The full bin was then put into a group based on size and value. Size and value are a demographic. Maybe you've heard this term use before in marketing. A demographic simply describes or defines a group. One of the most famous groups you've probably heard of is called the baby boomers. Marketers will sort people into groups based on likenesses or similarities. You can do this in our market, the Real Estate Market. FSBO Marketing does this. Past and present clients are a group. First time homebuyers are a group. Investors are a group. Sellers are a group! FSBO Marketing will have you interacting with ALL these groups at the same time!

Now, with all that being said, I encourage you to explore FSBO Marketing. You must look at current market conditions and trends before you decide - I think it's a no brainer. When you make that decision, focus your efforts on FSBO Marketing - it can double or even triple your current income. There is a saying in our business, "A stamps value is based on its ability to stick to a package until it reaches its destination!" Until next time - Niche!
